Over the road position
Owner-operators & Company Drivers
An over the road truck driving job typically consists of delivering and picking up freight throughout the country. Over the road (OTR) drivers are usually on the road for a minimum of two weeks and then take two days off and can choose to be out longer.
Regional position
A regional truck driving job typically consists of moving freight within a region that encompasses the surrounding states. A regional driver is usually on the road for five days or more and returns home on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Local Position
A local truck driving job typically consists of transporting freight within a 200-mile radius, allowing the driver to complete their deliveries and return home the same day.
